301
This game is generally played by two people but can be played in teams. Each player starts with 301 points. The goal for each player is to reach zero by subtracting the amount they score from the amount they had left. To end the game, you must land exactly on zero. If they should hit more points than they have left, then they have busted. Their turn is over and they will resume with the same score they started with on that throw the next time it is their turn to throw. You can start at whatever number you want, but this game is usually played starting at 101, 301, 501, and 701.
Cricket
This game involves hitting the following numbers on the dartboard at least three times: 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, and the Bulls-eye. A triple counts as three hits, a double counts as two, all other areas in that target are counted as one hit. Also, the double bulls-eye counts as two hits. Once a player has hit a target three times it is considered closed. When a target is closed, the opposition can no longer score on it but the person with the closed number can score on it as long as his opposition does not have theirs closed. Triples and doubles are scored accordingly (a triple 20 counts as 60 points, a double 16 counts as 32 points). The single bulls-eye is worth 25 points and the double bulls-eye worth 50 points. The winner of the game is the person that has closed all of their numbers with as many or more points than the opposition. If someone closes all their targets first, but has the least amount of points, they will have to continue to score on those targets until he/she has caught up in points (they win the game once they have either equaled or surpassed their opponent's points).
Rotation
Start by going for the number 1. Once you have hit the number 1, you go on to number 2. This goes on all the way through 20 and then you hit the Bulls-eye to win. If you hit the number you are aiming at with your third dart, you then are allowed a new turn and get to proceed to your next number. If you are aiming at the 5, and hit a triple 5, you get to skip 6 and 7 and go straight to 8. Likewise, if you hit the double 5, you skip the 6 and proceed to the 7. This applies to all numbers except you cannot skip the bulls-eye. If you hit the triple 19, you can skip the 20 but you still must hit the bulls-eye.
Hope you enjoy these games. These are a few of the most popular games, but there are hundreds of games out there and plenty of variations for each game.
